Anyone with a Ustream account can now login through their mobile device to watch their favorite broadcasts and video streams as they happen or as recorded video options. The Ustream Viewing app doesn’t just end with viewing, however, and there are ways for participants to interact through the app too.

The Ustream Viewing app features three ways of identifying and enjoying live broadcasts, the user can look at the “top” listings, the “featured” broadcasts, and “all” upcoming or current feeds. They can also seek out only the upcoming broadcasts and look for their favorite channels or podcasts, finally they can browse through the “archive” of prerecorded selections to listen or view as well.

In addition to an excellent array of broadcasts to enjoy, many of the live streams also feature interactive chat areas too. The viewer can read the exchanges or “tap to chat” along the bottom of the display screen as well. All videos can be viewed in the horizontal or portrait position for optimal results.

There are currently several broadcast apps for those using Nokia, Symbian, iPhone and iPod Touch devices, but not many allow their viewers to interact in a live environment during the broadcast. Additionally, this has a website component that adds to the value of the app.
