Most children will partake in singing Old McDonald’s Farm at some point in time, and now the Old McDonald app provides parents with a way to allow their children to enjoy the song like never before. The app has twelve interactive screens that can be touched to reveal all kinds of different sounds and activities.

They can also record themselves singing a round of the song and choose to hear the musical score played on a piano, kazoo, violin or cello as well. The Old McDonald app is designed like a book which features twelve separate story pages. On each page the child can touch one of the well-designed images, and this leads to 35 possible games or activities.

The images include the traditional farm animals such as cows, ducks, chickens and pigs, but also add such child-friendly images as tractors, balloons and more. When a child is done listening to the song and reading the book they can then make a recording of their version of the song with any animals or creatures they would like to include.

There are other children’s book and story apps available, but the Old McDonald app incorporates a higher level of interactivity than many others. This app is designed to function with the touch screen features of the iPhone and the iPod Touch.
