Making donations is difficult for many trying to make it paycheck to paycheck. You may want to help a charity but can’t find a way to actually fit it into your budget. With this new app, one7days, you can do just that. You donate $1 to the charity of the week and that’s it. They rely on the power of numbers in order for the donations to accumulate. Just think, if 10,000 people donated just a dollar that week –the featured charity gets $10,000. And, pretty much everyone can afford that $1.

The great thing is that if you don’t want to donate to the featured charity of the week, you don’t have to! The decision is completely up to you. However, you cannot donate more than $1 per week. What an incredible way to bring the power of mobile apps to help others, right? I’m loving the idea. Now, we just need to get more people involved to increase the numbers.

When the app opens it automatically opens to their featured charity for the week. You can read about the charity, what it does, who it helps, and how the donations are being used. If you choose to donate, just click the donate button to donate your $1 via PayPal or credit card. If you feel the charity deserves more, you can simply share the information with friend and family using the share button. You can text the charity or share vial social media or email contacts. It is fairly simple to use and even easier to donate.

As mentioned earlier, you can donate $1 per week if you choose. You cannot choose more than $1 per week, however you can preload your account with $52 to donate as you wish throughout the year. Unfortunately, because the donation is under $1 you will not receive a receipt for tax deductions. However, I still think this app is great because it allows you to donate to charities (if you want) without really noticing it in your daily budget.

Quick Take

Value:High.

Would I Buy Again:Yes.

Learning Curve:N/a

Who Is It For:Those that want to donate to charities but can’t find a way to do it in their budget.

What I Like:An idea to bring the power of mobile apps to help others.

What I Don't Like:The pay $52 in advance button is a bit too big and touchy. I’m not sure if I am going to be charged or not!

Final Statement:This app enables those that don’t know how to donate within their budget to do just that and help charities do their good work.

Read the Developer's Notes:
One7days is a micro-donation app for charities that relies on power in numbers. Users can give $1 per week to a different charitable cause with the click of a button. Each week we feature a ‘Charity of the Week’ and specify the project and how the funds raised will support the cause. You can go back to ‘Previous Weeks’ to see how much was raised and the positive impact it had.

Users can give $1USD, $1AUD, $1NZD, $1CAD, €1EURO or £1GBP. One7days is the first of its kind where the amount is capped at $52 per annum with no subscription (you choose each week if you want to give), so it is the most affordable and easy-to-use platform for making a difference to up to 52 different causes a year.

How it works…

You will be sent a notification each week advising who the featured charity and project is. When you open the app, it lands on the Charity of the Week page where it displays a button to ‘Give $1’. Click this, and the very first time you give only, it will ask you to either sign in with email or login with Facebook – we do not ask for personal details other than your name and email address. It will then take you to the payment page, where you can donate via PayPal (PayPal account or Credit Card) or Google Play.

Simple, you have just joined the one7days community and helped change the world.
