Pangea’s Mac games are amazing. They are fun, challenging and the graphics are fantastic.

Pangea’s iPhone/Touch games are amazing. They are fun, challenging and the graphics are fantastic.

In fact, if it weren’t for the size of the screen you wouldn’t know the difference!

Pangea did an amazing job bringing many of their best desktop games to the diminutive handhelds. In making the move they were somehow able to keep the same high degree of play and the same stunning graphics in tact. Seriously, you have to see Enigmo on a Touch or Nanosaur on an iPhone you can’t fully appreciate what they have accomplished.

If you win the copy of Bugdom 2 that we are giving away tonight, however, you’ll know just what we mean.

Tell us what game you still want to see on the iPhone and Bugdom just might be yours before the day is through.    For more details check out the Pangea website.

So You Forgot To Send Aunt Lucy A Christma Card… hiCard Holiday Can Help

By

On

So You Forgot To Send Aunt Lucy A Christma Card and the postoffice is closed for Christmas. Uh Oh.

Sure, you could call… but you’ll get an icy "how could you forget about me" voice on the receiving end for sure.

Then again, you could blame the Postal Service… but you used that excuse last year!

Or… you could grab hiCard Holiday from the App Store and, within seconds, send a greeting on it way. hiCard is…

iPhone App Developers Chilli X Announce “Done”… Need Help!

By

On

iPhone App developers Chilli X need a hand. They have just submitted "Done", their latest app, to the App Store. In their own words,

Done is a great little To Do list with some unique features but we know that there’s a danger that even a beautifully designed list can look pretty boring when it’s full of mundane, everyday tasks – Call John, Put the cat out, Do the shopping…

So here’s the thing… there are quite a few to do list applications already in the App Store. (I should know, as I’ve downloaded and tried just about all of them.) They run the gamut from horrific to excellent. wasn’t all that excited about looking at yet another ToDo list but did, for the sake of the site (and because they tend to do some pretty interesting stuff). After looking at the Chilli X website I have to admit it, Done has an interesting features and I’m really looking forward actually seeing the application when it is released. For example —

It’s Holiday Time and These Are Free In The App Store

By

The saying goes "you get what you pay for". By and large that tends to be absolutely true. There are, of course, some exceptions. Sometimes you come upon an exceptionally good deal. (My friend Wayne over on Gear Diary has an amazing ability to scour the Internet, find some of these gems, and share them with some of the site’s readers.)

Sometimes iPhone Application News and Review sites team up with developers and give away some of the best apps available. (And we’re just getting rolling! But pleeeeease, if you enter a contest log in first so we know where to send the app codes.)

And sometimes, there are just some good deals to be found. The problem is, while there are lots of lists of free and discounted apps floating around, a huge percentage of them just aren’t very good. And we’re not talking "aren’t very good" because I don’t like the particular game — I’m talking "aren’t very good" because they aren’t very good. Here, are a few apps that are currently free which are pretty good. All of them may not be to everyone’s liking but  they are definitely worth a look —

Vaja ivolution SP Case Review

By

On

First, I must admit something to you about myself.  I am a natural materials fanatic.  Which means that I love when items are made from natural materials (wood, stone, leather, etc.) instead of plastics.  And if those natural materials are of a high quality, all the better.  After reading through Vaja’s site, I noticed that they claim to use the top 10% of Argentina’s full grain leather hides, which ensures a higher quality, strength, character, and grain.  So imagine my excitement when I opened the white box containing the sample Vaja case sent to us, and I immediately saw the unmarred, perfectly colored leather case.  I’m almost embarrassed to tell you, I even smelled the leather and knew this was the high quality which Vaja claimed on its site.

This review will cover three things about the Vaja case.  My initial impressions, the aesthetics of the case, and the protective qualities of the case.
