Let’s say you are a felon.  A repeat offender.  You’re currently committing a criminal act and wish to determine if there has been a slip-up and the police or any sort of law enforcement will be kicking down the door or chasing your getaway car at any moment.  If this is the case, then this may be the perfect app for you (of course its also useful for those of us who like to listen in on streaming police and emergency radios).  In order to use this app, you need an active data or WiFi connection.

The app opens with a listing of all the states in which they have a streaming audio setup.  Upon selecting where you wish to eavesdrop, the app then gives you a listing of all the possible police or emergency radio signals one could listen to in that state.  The app is limited to the U.S. but perhaps future releases will include police frequencies from other countries.  That would be cool.

Additional good news is that for every frequency, a text listing of police code definitions is given so you may have a chance of knowing what they’re talking about.  Thats really cool.

The app is not entirely reliable.  They get their feeds from different websites including the scanamerica.us site and not all streams are working 24/7.

Overall, it’s a cute app but I’m not much of an eavesdropper so its not so useful for me.  If you really must have this app then you’re either really interested in police work or are considering a criminal career.  In any case, good luck with that. 🙂

Pros: Decent, simple app.

Cons: Not all streams are working all the time.
