User Rating:Power Rush is a very simple, yet attractive game. Basically, you control a ball that is in a downward scrolling environment. Using the accelerometer and tilting you phone you move the ball back and forth hopefully continuing its decent through space. As you navigate the obsticals you have to avoid the ball making contact wiith the lightening at the to of the screen. Doing so takes 40% power off of your ball. Along the way, there are multiple power up items you can pick up to assist your travel. When the life meter equals zero your ball dies. Life and power are gradually increased with time.
There are four power ups available. The canister with the red line adds 25% to your life meter. The similar blue canister increases the power meter 25%. There is a canister with a shield that adds a shield and protects the ball from the lightening one time. The final canister has what appears to be ice in it. This power up frezes the rocks.
To use your power meter you shake the phone. You must have 25% minimum to use the power. V2 Power costs 25% power and slows down the rocks for a while. X2 Power costs 100% power and makes the ball invincible. You should try to use the powers especially the X2 Power as much as possible. The game is quite difficult without the assistance of any of the power ups. They not only assist in finishing levels, but help increase your score more quickly.
The game is really a very simple concept. It is enjoyable for short periods of time, but not what you would call a hardcore game. The graphics are very nice and polished. The sounds are also very good. These two aspects really make this game. The controls are good and I experienced no lag time. Overall, a good game for the casual gaming experience.
