Everyone loves a good racer, and fans who have played the previous 2 installments of the Real Racing series can attest to how legendary the games have been. However, when it comes to Real Racing 3, my thoughts are a little mixed with this one.
To start off the game does a wonderful job with actual gameplay, living up to and even superseding the benchmarks set by its predecessors. Graphics run real crisp and smoothly, with cars rendered so beautifully it easily beats certain desktop and console racers. I would say Real Racing 3 has one of the nicest graphics in a mobile racer I’ve seen. Gameplay is awesome too, with very responsive controls.
However, the downside to the game lies in the monetization. The game is plagued with advertisements, and prompts for in-app purchases which can get very annoying as the game processes. Also, gameplay seems to revolve around depleting your stash of in-game cash as quickly as possible by the most ridiculous methods, such as implementing random wait times and needing to pay to bypass such times. To get more cash, players can of course buy them for real life currency.
So while a really great game, the strong demand for monetization really spoils everything.
