Okay, so you have an iPhone 3Gs and you are taking quite a few videos with it. You want to combine them into one video but you aren’t near your computer. What can you do? Well, now it’s possible to edit and create great videos right on your iPhone. An App called Reel Director from developer Nexvio will allow you to do just that.
Upon opening Reel Director you can start by choosing video clips from your library. It’s very easy to use – just drop and drag your clips to ‘stitch’ them together. As you create a project, you can add opening and closing credits and choose where they will show on your video page. You can also insert transitions between each clip. There are twenty-seven transitions available to make your video complete (i.e., fade, wipe, crossover, etc.)
When you are ready, you can hit the create button to finalize your video right on your iPhone. Once it’s finalized, you can see the date and time it was modified, the length of the clip, the date and time that it was produced and how large the file it. You can email your short videos or save your larger finished videos to the iPhone Photo library.
So, how well does Reel Director work, you ask? I tried it and it’s great. The transitions are seamless and very professional. During my testing of this App I emailed the developer with a question and it was promptly answered. There is certainly room for added features in future updates, but as a start, it’s a very good App. Check Reel Director out in the App store – it’s 7.99
