Combine two amazing games like Scrabble and LetterPress; take out all the rubbish and add more awesome features. Why shouldn’t I love Ruzzle?

The blue themed interface invites you to select an opponent. Choose your favorite Facebook friend, Twitter follower, Ruzzle friend or even a random stranger. What, you need an offline mode too? Wish granted! A practice mode without opponents is also available, but with half the fun and a $2.99 price tag.

You are given a 4×4 grid of random letters and a 2 min timer. Find the maximum number of words from them, but you need to make the word by sliding from one letter to other. Hence, words can only be formed from adjacent letters, moving right, left, up, down or diagonal from a given letter. I know, it sounds confusing, but actually, its not! Take a look at some screenshots below.

It is not the number of words that really matters. Just like Scrabble, each letter is rated in points and the final score is what that counts. Cautiously use your time to involve letters with higher tags as longer words might not always form a higher score.

Each game has three rounds and whoever wins atleast two of them can raise their arms. After each round, the list of all possible words and the contestant entries are charted out spectacularly. Go through them to enlarge your vocabulary and you improve after each game.

The concept and gameplay are worth a praise while the animations and sound effects aren’t so unique. I really wish, there could be an option to play songs from the library. Just like any other multiplayer game, waiting hours for the opponent is a drawback but isn’t an issue if playing with your buddies or cousins. So, as a free game testing your language, speed and imagination, Ruzzle surely wins me over.

Find as many words as possible on a board by swiping your finger across the screen. The letters may form words as long as they are connected to each other. Nice audio and animations make it even more fun to play.

The matches are played in three rounds and the highest total number of scores wins.
The rounds can be played when it suits you. You can get going as soon as you have two minutes to spare!
