If you are a woman who likes to try things from different cultures, have a spiced-up wardrobe, or just be different, then Sari will be something which you cannot do without.
Sari is a simple, elegant app which is dedicated to helping you put on and wear a sari, a unique and beautiful Indian outfit. It accomplishes this with both a 16 page instruction “manual” complete with illustrations and also a very informative video which promises to teach you how to drape a sari in under 10 minutes.
When teaching yourself to do something, it is not always easy. With many steps and sometimes confusing instructions, teaching yourself does not always work out. This app’s instructions, however, are top notch. I find it very easy to follow the video instructions and if you become confused at any point, you can rewind or use the written-out “illustrative and verbose” instructions.
The developers have included a FAQ section which has questions concerning practically anything you would want to know about saris. If your question is not listed, you can ask a question on Twitter and expect a speedy response in less than 12 hours.
Under this FAQ section, the first question is “Can women from any nationality wear a sari and would it offend Indians?” In case you were just wondering this question yourself, the answers are yes, any nationality can wear the sari and no, Indians are not offended by others wearing a sari. In fact, the app states that Indians are very encouraged when seeing the sari being culturally accepted.
