Do you travel for business or pleasure? Do you need to make travel arrangements on the run? Do you find it hard to keep track of your trip reservations and flight schedules? If so, there are many Apps that can help you make travel arrangements and track them. But, a new App – Southwest – from Southwest Airlines has raised the bar with some very innovative features.
Download the Southwest App and open it. You will be presented with many options to choose from such as flight reservations and car rentals. You can also check a flight that you have already booked. All the features are placed in a nice and easy-to-use layout. Another interesting feature of Southwest is the DING notification (you’ll have to sign up for this) – which are specials on specific flights for that day that you can only purchase until a certain time that day (usually until 11:45 PM) and can use for a specific period of time in the next month. The great feature is that you can set up push notifications to alert you to the DING specials even when you are not in the application, so you won’t miss any of the “deals of the day”.
Using the Southwest App to book a flight recently, it worked flawlessly, allowing me to search for a specific flight and purchase my tickets right in the App. If you need to fly this is a great way to purchase your tickets. By the way, did I mention that it’s FREE in the App store?
