Space Trap is a maze game. You play a small robot and the entire objective is to get from the starting point to a brown door which will open and drop you down to the next level when you reach it. Graphics are well done, as well as the physics. The game is played on a two-dimensional plane, you can only move side to side, no jumping up or crawling beneath anything. The only thing blocking your path in Space Trap are a series of doors that will only open or close one direction. You have to find your way through the doors and eventually make it to the trap door to drop down to the next level.

There are two sets of controls in Space Trap. You can either tilt the screen the direction you would like your small robot to move, or tap the screen to the square you want him in. You can only move the robot to the next available square with the tap feature though, you can’t hold a square and have him keep moving, it’s only one at a time. This makes the tilt function the easiest choice. Also, using tap control places your thumb in the center of the screen which means you are covering up half the map. Space Trap starts out really simple, maybe only four or five doors you have to open, and not much in the way of an actual maze or puzzle. Don’t get discouraged however, after about level nine, the game gets pretty complicated. The levels begin to have more and more doors, and it becomes quite a puzzle game.

QUICK TAKE:

Value: Medium-High

Would I Buy Again: Definetly

Learning Curve: None-Very Easy

Who Is It For: Anyone who is a fan of puzzle/maze type games.

My Likes: Everything? The game is extremely fun, and very challenging.

My Dislikes: The tilt feature is a bit touchy, but nothing uncontrollable.

Final Statement: Space Trap is a great game that I would recommend to anyone. It’s a lot of fun and well put together.

Read the Developer's Notes:

You are given a great power and possibilities to help the little robot...Hurry up!The game provides two types of control: tap and tilt. You can also scale the space platform up and down since each new game level offers more complicated labyrinths and tasks.
