User Rating:I’ve always wanted to stun my friends by creating those really freaky images where two of me would be within the same frame of each other. However, I was never good with visual tools like Photoshop and it always looked obviously fake and even bordering on awkward whenever I attempted to crop myself out.
Split Pic makes it easy to make such stunning collages, through a system very similar to that found when taking paranormal shots.
The way Split Pic is used is pretty hassle-free to begin with. Users simply select the type of divisions they require where limited flexibility is given over the number of said panels and the size ratios of the panels. After which, the camera opens and the screen is automatically split into sections based on the panel types selected. The whole capturing process is very much similar to that of taking paranormal shots where the first picture is snapped before realigning the device to take a second or third picture. Users can then slip various poses in the different frames to make it seem like they are multipresent.
A nice touch would be how a faded impression of the previous shot taken would be superimposed onto the camera for alignment purposes.
After all shots are taken, the app stitches everything together into a seamless shot where further editing through altering of the brightness and contrast levels can be done to make things even smoother.
A free app, this nifty little toy definitely gets my vote of approval.
Quick Take
Value:High
Would I Buy Again:Definitely
Learning Curve:Simple
Who Is It For:Just about anyone
What I Like:It's a really cool function to have, especially on a mobile device.
What I Don't Like:Selection of frames is rather limited.
Final Statement:You no longer need to have fancy photo editing software to be omnipresent.
