Have you ever wondered what happened before the Spongebob TV series? How he got his job at the Krusty Krab?

Well, Spongebob Moves In answers most of these questions.

Essentially a prequel to the series, Spongebob Moves In revolves around the days where the titular character first arrived at Bikini Bottom. How he built his pineapple home and how he found his job at the famous eatery. I suppose the most attractive part of the game would be to see how all the characters of the show came to be, a very worthwhile incentive for long time fans of the series indeed.

A build-your-own-city themed game, Spongebob Moves In requires players to complete objectives bit by bit to create their own version of Bikini Bottom. Along the way, the storyline progresses and we get to see how Spongebob as a character develops. Very good indeed.

Game play is pretty exciting, while you build landmarks and whatnot you can also rent out iconic structures like Squidward‘s Easter Island themed home so your little town starts to become populated.

However, it is rather disturbing and worth pointing out that like most free games of this genre, you cannot go far without in-app purchases to bolster your performance. With that said, these purchases are unreasonably expensive with one even costing $99.99. That is absurd.

But for fans of the cute yellow sponge, this game is pretty cool to have.

Quick Take

Value:High

Would I Buy Again:No

Learning Curve:Decent to comprehend

Who Is It For:Youngsters and SpongeBob fans

What I Like:The game provides a depth of content beyond the scope of the TV series

What I Don't Like:The in-app purchases are ridiculous

Final Statement:So who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
