Ever since the addictive Fruit Ninja app popularizes the finger slicing mechanism, various apps adapting such movement came on an all-time high. The latest app that has caught on the finger slicing frenzy is SuchiChop.

Created by the Rogue Rocket Games, SushiChop has the same mechanics as Fruit Ninja. Yet, instead of slicing flying fruits in the air, the player practices swift slicing finger movement on flying fish. It’s extremely addictive but doesn’t promise limitless boundaries.

SushiChop offers two enthralling gaming modes: SushiChop Mode and SushiMaster mode. SushiChop simply has the user cutting any type of seafood to fill up trays of which has a set timer. SushiMaster follows the same concept however each tray requires a specific type of fish which are denoted by pictures on the background.

Cut the wrong type of fish and meat simply falls of the tray. It isn’t as challenging as any other finger slicing game. Once the timer runs out, the game is over. There are leader boards, perfect cut ability and bonus items offered within the game.

SushiChop is missing a few ingredients, literally. The game could be amped up a bit more with key ingredients such as soy sauce or wasabi needed to sp(l)ice up the game.

Additional Features added are:

– Chop power-ups to crank up your scoring power!! POW!
– Earn Coins to upgrade power-ups and buy blades and modes! Ka-CHING!
– Master Fish Challenges to earn coveted Mishellin Stars to get even bigger bonuses! WOO HOO!
– Fresh leaderboards to go with fresh 2.0 chopping! ALL RIGHT!

With seafood and samurai slicing action, the graphics and sound are enough to get buy. It isn’t as flashy as Fruit Ninja but it’s the perfect sushi mate game for users who want the simple things out of life.

The app is available for free on Google play and requires Android 2.0.1 and up.

We rate this app 4 out of 5 stars.
