User Rating:Swine Wars is a wonderful game for aspiring serial killers. While there are no actual pet torture games on iTunes (to the best of my knowledge), the chance to flick exploding pigs around the landscape would undoubtedly appeal to the more bloodthirsty of humanity.
Seriously, the game is silly and it seems to revel in the fact. This is nowhere near as disturbing as the game’s lackluster 3D graphics. Even worse, the motion of the pigs is somewhat choppy. While I understand that the creators are competing with major gaming companies like Electronic Arts, who have far more resources at their disposal, the pigs don’t even look like pigs. They’re more circular alien creatures. Perhaps it’s an attempt to dehumanize (or rather de-swine) them so cruelty to the virtual animals would be easier.
The game itself is pretty simple. There are two modes, "Swine Flinging Fever" and "Swine Chase". I’m not sure about the details of each type of game, but in the end the objective is to chase pigs around some sort of piazza and flick them into furnaces before the swine flu epidemic reaches 100%. I’m not even sure where the story is supposed to take place. The background looks slightly like Italy, but not much.
The game is humorous for three seconds and it’s cheap. Also, the instructions section is presented in a clear format that is easy to understand. However, I can’t honestly recommend this one. For a few dollars more, stick with other games that have better graphics.
Quick Take

Who Is It For:Those who hate pigs and find the swine flu hilarious.
What I Like:Simple to use. Good instructions.
What I Don't Like:Poor 3D graphics and motion.
Final Statement:For a slightly higher or even the same price, there are better games out there.
