User Rating:When I was a kid I use to love looking through the "Where’s Waldo" series of books. Each page offered hours of entertainment as you looked for the various objects, and of course for Waldo himself. When I read about Time Geeks by Ivanovich, I wondered why this genre of game hadn’t been done before.
Time Geeks is a hunt and find game where you are tasked with finding various objects and people in a busy pixel art map full of ice cream vendors, pop-references, and comedic scenarios. The faster you find the target, the more stars you get. As you beat levels, you unlock new features like the build your own island, where you create your own scenes with the artwork from the game, to minigames that test your reflexes.
Time Geeks improves on the genre by offering animation, and changing the scene each time you do a search. That was always one of the weaknesses of the book; once you found the targets, you knew where they were and the challenge is gone. Time Geeks seems to have as many as 7-8 locations for each object. This should allow for multiple attempts and keep you trying to get better and better times. The unlock-able content also adds to the value of this title.
Time Geeks has Open Feint and Game Center support, for sharing scores with your friends. The only caution is the occasionally poorly placed target places it behind an interface button in the corner. Since there is no penalty for failing to find the target, this is a minor complaint. Otherwise I found this game to be an entertaining casual game for those times when you need to pass the time, but don’t have enough to really make progress on a bigger game. For $.99 this title is a treat for new comers as well as a bit of nostalgia for the folk that remember our own striped friend.

Our friends the Time Geeks need to find them all to avoid a total collapse of space-time before it is too late!
