When I first bought my iPhone I figured it would replace a few things. I thought I would of course have a new phone, and a new MP3 player, maybe even my pen and paper, but I never anticipated that my iPhone would become my new todo list. Well much to my surprise shortly after I became the owner of my iPhone I came across the dozens and dozens of todo Apps out there. With the multitude of todo apps out there how do you know which one is best for you? Well it may not be the best for your personal taste, but for mine, I am sticking with ToDo by Appigo Inc.

ToDo gives you the option when you first open it add specific lists, for me I have a list for reviews that need done, another one for bills, etc. Once a list is created you can start adding items to do. The list itself is pretty simple, at the very top of your list screen you will find two + buttons, one normal and one with a lightning bolt beside it. Hitting the one with the lightning bolt will allow you to quickly add a task by just title, which you can edit the details on later. Normal + button will open a full screen for task name and type (normal, call, email, visit, etc.). Once you’ve entered the title and type you can adjust the due date & time, whether you would like it to repeat (monthly bills) and the priority. You can even select which list to add the task to, and add contexts or tags. At the very bottom you can type a note in case you need to add more information about the task. Hit save and the task will be saved to the corresponding list and you can add another. Once you’ve completed a task simply tap the empty circle beside it and whichever art you have selected will scratch out the task saving it as completed. ToDo also syncs with Toodledo making it simple to log on through your computer, fill out your todo list, and the app will simply sync all of your tasks into your iPhone.

Maybe I am becoming too much of a sucker, or maybe I have low standards but I couldn’t for the life of me find any reason to complain about this application. Everything worked perfectly the way it should, syncing is quick and pain free, and the layout of the entire application is simple, and I love simple.

My Dislikes: Ummm….it’s not free?

Final Statement: If you are an extremely organized person, or maybe you just forget what things need done a lot, ToDo is a great application for you. ToDo is much simpler than old-fashioned pen and paper notebook and some scribbles about what you need to get done, and it saves a lot more space than littering your desk with post-it notes about who you need to call or email.
