A puzzler for the younger ones, don’t expect this to be a mind-boggling epic.
I’m a huge fan of the Toy Story saga, and Toy Story: Smash It allowed me to pretty much relive my childhood. While the game itself does not seem to have any canon relation to the movies, it was real great to see my favorite animated characters spring to life and solve some puzzles.
With that said, Toy Story: Smash It is targeted towards the younger audience, with the cute characters attempting to stimulate their developing brains through round after round of brain teasers that while may appear quite simple for us older ones to solve, should pose quite an interesting challenge for the younger generation. What makes this game interesting lies in the fact that unlike most other puzzle games, Toy Story: Smash It takes place in real time, so the effects of your actions can be seen immediately. This means strategic usage of power ups and abilities.
I liked the visual effects of the game, where the 3D rendering gave the game an experience like no other. It was wonderful seeing the clearly animated characters move about smoothly without any trace of pixelation or blurred graphical hitches.
Thus, this game is definitely worth my one dollar.
