TypePad creator SixApart is clearly committed to the iPhone as a blogging platform and will soon offer three ways to blog from the iPhone.
Currently, SixApart offers two web applications. The iPhone optimized TypePad web application allows bloggers to create and edit posts, manage comments, and post photos directly from the iPhone. Blog It for iPhone enables users to post to social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as a wide range of popular blog platforms, including Movable Type, TypePad, Vox, LiveJournal, Blogger and WordPress.
Next month SixApart will add a native application to their iPhone blogging arsenal.
TypePad Mobile will offer an optimized interface that makes posting blog entries directly from the iPhone easier than ever before. Users will be able to create and edit posts, as well as upload photos from their photo gallery or directly from the iPhone camera. Perhaps more importantly, while a data connection will be neccessary for posting blog entires, bloggers will not longer need to have one while writing their posts. This means that posts can be created anywhere, anytime.
Blogging has gone mainstream. Now its going mobile!
