Admit it, you’ve always wanted to be able to kick someone else’s ass. Or at the very lease, you’ve wanted to be able to walk down the street without someone else kicking your ass. That’s what Urban Krav Maga is about. It is a unique form of martial arts with a funny name.

In its simplest form, Urban Krav Maga is a set of self-defense videos intended for defense against 10 of the most common forms of attack. The company that makes this also offers a more intensive set of training videos from a DVD set, but this should be enough to disable the attacker and run away. Once away, you can buy the DVD set to learn more (available on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk.)

It’s a huge download at over 600 megs, but it’s no different than any of the graphics-intense video games that you might have on your iOS device. The app is extremely simple to use having only two buttons at the bottom of the screen. One is for watching the videos and the other is the "About" button.

The videos are high-definition and are easy to understand provided you don’t have problems with an English accent. Lessons are only in English thus far. Sorry, rest of the world.

This is a good app for anybody with that is either interested in learning a new form of self-defense in a relatively inexpensive way that seems a lot more practical than most of the other forms you may have heard of. Recommended.

Quick Take

Value:High.

Would I Buy Again:Indeed.

Learning Curve:Low.

Who Is It For:Those that want to learn how to defend against those that bust heads.

What I Like:Simple to use.

What I Don't Like:Not much. Pretty much does what it says on the tin.

Final Statement:Get this app or I'll beat you up.

Read the Developer's Notes:
This app takes the unusual and welcome approach of showing how to make martial

arts techniques work against the type of attacks that actually happen to people.

It covers the 10 most common street attacks and is drawn from the first 2 discs

of the highly acclaimed Urban Krav Maga 6-Set DVD.

Bob Sykes / Editor / Martial Arts Illustrated magazine

I have been training for many years and have been buying training vids the whole

time. This is by far one of the best training vid sets i have seen. Mr. McGill

was very helpful in answering my questions, not to mention providing the

training in the vids! Thank you so much! (Posted on 04/11/2010 on Amazon.co.uk)

George Campion, Amazon Customer
