There’s a weird futuristic theme and storyline to start this game off that I could barely understand. But no bother, it barely matters.Vector is basically a parkour based game, where fanciful flips and tricks earn points.

The game revolves around some sort of futuristic totalitarian dictatorship, and somehow this traceur is able to escape the dystopian world by literally running away from it. Players control the character by making timed swipes across the screen, where different combinations cause a whole chain of cool tricks that are amazing to look at.

Seems really cool to dodge gunmen by flipping around. Reminds me of The Matrix movies.

Vectoris filled with eye candy, but not in the sense of actual visual aesthetics. Graphics are as 2 dimensional as a 2D game can get, with a cartoon backdrop and a silhouette to represent the main character. Yes, we don’t get a painstakingly designed lead character, we get a moving shadow. But no matter, there is always an upside to everything. The black figure against the dull backdrop makes it easier for the character to stand out, and thus players can focus more on the enthralling stunts pulled off in game.

It does, however, take a while to get used to the controls of this game. As mentioned earlier, players use a one finger based gesture control by swiping across the screen. Timing is the crux when it comes to Vector, where successful chains of stunts can only be executed by timing each swipe right.

An awesome side scroller, this one definitely sets itself apart from others of a similar genre. The theme alone is enough to leave its mark behind.

Quick Take

Value:High

Would I Buy Again:Yes

Learning Curve:Simple controls but timing takes a while to master

Who Is It For:Side scroller fans

What I Like:The interface of the game makes it look rather unique and unlike other scrollers

What I Don't Like:Plot device seems a little too exaggerated

Final Statement:Just keep run
