Developer: Raphael Sebbe

User Rating:Vocalia is another of thevoice dialers that are available for the iPhone.
I could not get the initial release of Vocalia to work. With the update, however, that has changed and, overall, I am impressed by what I see.
It has an unusual interface that is as cool to look at as it is to use. Vocalia has the benefit of some excellent configuration options, including the ability to assign vocal shortcuts to contacts and split first and last name so, for example, you do not have to remember EXACTLY how you listed a couple.
Perhaps they are best described visually…
Quick Take
Value: Medium
Would I Buy Again: Maybe- (at this point it is among the best voice dialing apps for the iPhone but the combination of the iPhone’s hardware limitations and the price move it from a "Yes" to a "Maybe"
Learning Curve: Low (but it is worth the time to set up a small subset of contacts to use)
Who is it for: Anyone who needs the convenience and safety of voice dialing
What I like: Works!, neat interface, ability to use only a small subset of contacts
What I Don’t: At $7.99 it is one of the more expensive apps I have gotten lately (if you need voice dialing that actually works, however, it is a small price to pay)
Final Statement: Vocalia is a good, cool looking, voice dialing option that actually works
How does it work?1. Click the icon to make Vocalia's Eye appear 2. Speak your contact's name 3. Vocalia selects the names close to what you pronounced 4. Click the contact to call/write to
