User Rating:Since this app has spent so much time in the top 100, we thought we would have to take a look and see what all the fuss was about. How many times have you seen a television show or movie in which a character was able to hurl lightning bolts from his or her fingers (such as the Emperor from ‘Star Wars’)? Well, now you can too. In fact, you can control the number and color of the bolts you throw.
The app begins after a splash screen with the picture of a steel lightning spheres. You can change the splash screen to one from your Photo Library instead from the options menu if you don’t like the sphere. The same options menu allows you to select the intensity of the lightning and the size of the sphere. Sound settings, color of the lightning, intensity of energy and power, and the number of bolts is also customizable here.
The concept behind the app is cute, if not terribly useful. Children would undoubtedly be entertained for minutes at a time before abandoning it and finding another game. You shoot lightning bolts from your fingertips. Not for points or to destroy anything, but just for the sake of shooting lightning bolts.
Perhaps the creators could make an associated app in which one’s fingertips could create fire or ice. It’s just a thought.
This is one of those apps that is cute but doesn’t have much replay value after you’ve run out of people to show. It’s not hard to see the appeal which is why it made the top 100 apps list in the App Store. I would give it a pass, but I think I’m in the minority on this one.
Quick Take

What I Like:Cute idea. Good execution.
