It’s been quite an agonizing wait, but the sequel to Disney‘s original Where’s My Water title has finally arrived.

Where’s My Water 2 though, is not quite as awesome as its predecessor.

Just like the original Where’s My Water, Where’s My Water 2 takes place in a musky sewer where alligators are trying to take a bath. Unfortunately for them, the only source of water, a flowing pipe has the water blocked by the clogged sewers. Players would then have to tastefully swipe to clear the pile ups, strategically setting a path for the water to flow into the showers of the alligators.

Where’s My Water 2 attempts to inject fresh variety into this sequel through extra in-game objectives which really just serve to complicate the game further. Things like rubber ducks scattered across the play field requiring collection as well as power ups to aid in your quest. Also, bonus levels are also included which gives a break from traditional gameplay and instead offer something new to the player.

My biggest gripe, and the ultimate downfall of this game however, lies in the incessant use of in-app purchases. It is nigh impossible to advance smoothly in this game without a significant number of in-app purchases. This ruins the entire prospect of the game being a hit because it is frankly just plain annoying. So judge for yourself, if a seemingly free app that is in reality bombarded with prompts to splash real cash on its waters is really worth the download. As for me, I’ll just stick to the original.

Quick Take

Value:Med

Would I Buy Again:No

Learning Curve:Moderate

Who Is It For:Casual gamers

What I Like:The game at least attempts to add new features as a distinguishing point and to stand its ground as a sequel

What I Don't Like:Too much emphasis on in-app purchases

Final Statement:I'm staying with the original
