Using WikiMe I learned more about my town in five minutes than I had in the five years I have lived here. It is a great little app and best of all it is inexpensive.

Quick Take

Value:  High
Would I Buy Again:  Yes
Learning Curve: Low
Who is it for:  Anyone who wants to use their iPhone 3G to find places of interest near by.
What I like:  Innovative merger of the iPhone’s location-feature and Wikipedia, easy to use, potentially uncovers places of interest that would otherwise be missed.
What I Don’t: Works best with the 3G’s GPS chip, would be less accurate with first gen iPhone or Touch. When opening full Wikipedia article it uses the normal web page which is difficult to read. It would be much better to render it in an optimized form.

Final Statement:  FUN! Definitely worth getting.
