Do you love to do puzzles, especially word jumbles and word games?  Are you ever sitting in the doctor’s office or at the car dealer waiting for your turn, bored because they are 45 minutes behind as usual and you forgot to bring something to do?  Well, now you never have to be bored again.  With the iPhone App Word Scramble 2 by Zynga you’ll always have something to do right in your pocket.   
 
Download Word Scramble 2 by Zynga and touch settings.  Here you can choose the board size grid (4×4 or 5×5) and the amount of time you want to have to find the words (2 or 3 minutes).  You can also choose to have the word of the day sent to you via push notifications and choose to have the sound on or off.  In addition, if you want to find out more about the rules of the game, touch About.  When finished, touch Done to get back to the main screen and you’re ready to go.
 
You can choose to PLAY SOLO, PLAY AND PASS (which allows you to play with up to 3 friends using your iPhone), CHALLENGE friends from your Friend List or PLAY ONLINE.
 
To play, touch one of the Game choices and you will be presented with a grid of letters.  When creating a word, you can only choose letters that are connected to each other.  You can view the screen from either landscape or portrait mode.  You can also drag the grid by touching the letters in the opposite corners and dragging them clockwise or counterclockwise.   It’s a nice feature that helps you see the letters from a different perspective.
 
No matter which game you play, the objective is the same – you need to get as many points as possible in the time allotted to you.  The longer the words, the more points you get.  It’s as simple as that.  When there are 10 seconds left, you will get a warning bell followed by a countdown for the last 10 seconds.  When your time is up, you’ll get to see your score and the full list of words that were actually in the puzzle.  When you swipe the list of words, it will even show you where the words were found in the actual grid.  If you get tired of playing a particular game, you can touch the bottom right corner and choose to Resume, End this Turn or go back to the Main Menu.
 
You can click on My Profile on the main Menu and you will see your statistics, including the longest word you had, your best score, the number of words found and the level you attained.  You can also find your friend code which can be used to invite your friends to play when you feel up to the challenge.   
 
Word Scramble 2 is a great game that challenges your brain and best of all you can take it wherever you go.  I’ve been playing it for quite some time and it’s a lot of fun.  One idea for improvement would be to have a list of words for you to find until you get used to the game.  All in all, it’s a great game and a wonderful way to improve your vocabulary.  Get it in the APP store today – it’s FREE!
