World in The Hands puts the world in your hands by presenting to you news articles sorted by their geographical location around the world. World in The Hands also adds a tinge of fun to the navigation and selection of articles through the globe that the app centers on.

In World in The Hands, users spin the globe around and choose a particular location that they are interested in. Following which, the app presents them with a selection of news articles sub-arranged by the time of publishing that they can read. Extra functions include the ability to see the time and temperature of that particular country as well as the currency conversion based on the US dollar.

Another nice thing to note is that World in The Hands keeps track of your previously visited ‘location’. Thus, if you read an article about Brazil before moving on to China, the app will show you the distance covered, which would translate to the real world distance between the two nations.

Not only does World in The Hands fetch news articles pertaining to the particular country of your choice, but it also fills you in with relevant Twitter updates as well.

A free app, World in The Hands  is definitely one app that is worth the download.
