This puzzle game has been a huge success on many platforms like the Windows, Mac OSX, WII and Linux and now it arrived on your iPad! If you don’t already know it, you are missing out on some of the best 2D puzzlers out there, but luckily you have an opportunity to fix all that for $9.99 today in an iTunes store near you!

The goal of the game is simple; use the little balls of ‘goo’ (black, sticky stuff) to build constructs on your screen which will allow the rest of the goo balls to climb (or fall) to the nearest exit where they get sucked in. You need to secure a minimum of goo in order to go to the next level. The next level which will usually be quite a bit harder than the previous one.

In the PC version the controls (ie your mouse) didn’t feel quite as natural for this kind of game as it could be. The WII controls are better, but now with the iPad the game found it’s logical platform. It just feels natural. Building huge constructions to guide your goo out was never faster and somehow the shiny iPad screen makes the bulky graphics seem even more crisp.

My only negative point about this game remains the same as with the other versions; the game is very unforgiving when you cannot figure out how to finish a level. For hardcore, persistent gamers this is not a problem, but for casual buyers who just want to play a massively addictive game, it could be annoying to get stuck in an early level and not being able to get out at all without going on Youtube to sneak a peek at a walkthrough.

Having said that, this game is worth every penny and if you didn’t yet, you should run out and buy it.
