WWE Legends of Wrestlemania has been around for almost a year (and has halved in price since its introduction from $10 to $5), but I’ve only just discovered it on the iPhone after having played the PS3 version of the game for a little while. While I dig the game, it has some shortcomings.
Comparing it to the superior graphics capabilities of the PS3 is moot. Most of the wrestlers look the same on the iPhone with only cosmetics changes to their face and costume and they even do some of the same actions (they all seem to raise their right arm like The Rock did back in the day). One of the most obvious wrestlers missing from the game is Hulk Hogan, who pretty much originated Wrestlemania. We can only wonder why he’s on the PS3 version and not the iPhone app. However, you are able to create your own wrestler so perhaps you can create a Hulk look-alike.
For an iPhone game with a relatively small footprint, it can do a lot. There are several types of matches that can be done (although no Royal Rumble.) and a selection of 10 classic wrestlers including "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock. Andre the Giant and Bret "The Hitman" Hart.
The play is easy to control and the graphics run smoothly (something I would expect from THQ).
This game is basically a lite version of the PS3 game at about one-eighth of the cost. If you are any type of classic WWE (or WWF) wrestling fan, your iPhone or iPod touch should have this game on it.

Would I Buy Again:Most definitely.
Learning Curve:Low to medium.
Who Is It For:Wrestling fans, of course.
What I Like:Very good graphics and motion. Great game overall.
What I Don't Like:No Hulk Hogan. No Royal Rumble.
Final Statement:As an iPhone wrestling game, it beats all the others by submission.
