It seems like only yesterday that I reviewed Angry Birds clone The Drop Out, and then along comes another game following the exact same formula. And why not? The catapult game formula is addictive and perfectly tailored for iPhones.  All you need is a bit of imagination along with this gameplay formula and you have yourself a guaranteed great game.

Justin Mac Fart takes this formula in a more vulgar direction than your iPhone game. You control Justin, a creature that looks like a cross between a redneck and a turd. You pull his suspenders in that now-familiar catapulting motion, and send him bouncing around stages in a bid to collect as many sausages, cans of beans and stars as possible.

It goes without saying that the gameplay is enjoyable, though definitely more difficult than in other similar games. The difference here is that after firing Justin, your next shot then has to be fired from the position in which he landed, adding an extra layer of strategy to the game.

Through collecting stars, you unlock extra worlds for Justin to jet through using the power of his flatulence. After the initial Desert world, there are also Mountain and Hills worlds to explore, each with increasingly challenging and amusing obstacles and power-ups.

Mac Fart features Game Center support and leaderboards, allowing you to compare your farting prowess with others around the world (because in today’s world, that’s apparently something to be proud of). Combining a fool-proof gameplay formula with a vulgar premise is, it would seem, a recipe for success.
