The thing I hate about using my credit or debit cards for transactions is that I can never seem to keep tabs on them. I mean, I can’t be the only one who finds it troublesome to constantly visit bank tellers to get an update on my bank balance, can it? But likewise, I don’t really like carrying conspicuous wads of cash in my wallet either. They just seem to vanish so quickly, only to have me later find out that a hundred bucks was easily blown over trivial objects that really have no meaning.

Level Money is one app I would recommend. Linked to your bank accounts, the app keeps track of expenditure and helps a lot with budgeting. Often, it is difficult to estimate how much money should be spent on a given day. With Level Money, users are given exact amounts for the day so that they don’t get thrown off balance.

The app breaks down details through a gloriously pretty interface that resembles a sphere slowly filled out or emptied. The app bases expenditure based on the user’s income, and after deducting a set portion for bills and savings, tells the players how much of their wages they can spend. Again, the app also monitors transactions through the bank tie ins, and updates constantly on how much money the user can still spend for the week.

A free app, Level Money promises to be eternally free. While some might raise concerns about a third party app having access to your account details, the convenience by far outweighs the paranoia. Unfortunately, Level Money is based in the US so international users might have to check again to see if their local banks are supported with the app.
