User Rating:Mockup is actually a very good idea. With the explosion of development companies for the iPhone and iPod Touch, the people developing the software would likely desire an intuitive app to help them design it. Mockup is best thought of as a shell designer without any of the guts.
It’s a bit like a drawing program, in which the user can add elements common to any productivity app to the main screen and add or alter text to suit their needs. As a developer, this app would be extremely useful to me particularly in terms of user interface design.
And that’s basically what the app is: user interface design. There are no bells or whistles to the design but there doesn’t have to be. For all intents and purposes, the app only creates intended app screen shots.
It’s possible to create a blank screen and add components to it for either input or design. It’s not likely the app will be for high-resolution games, but that’s not the intention.
If the creators really wanted to market this app, they could create an Apple application which would create a rudimentary programming system from the mockups. But then, the entire application is intended to promote development sales from LexTech, the company that created it. So maybe it’s not so much in their interest to do so.
This is an excellent app and one I may be using myself in my day-to-day planning. If you’re a project planner for iPhone apps, then I would go as far as saying that Mockup is a mandatory requirement for your own iPhone or iPod Touch.

Learning Curve:Low to medium.
Who Is It For:App planners.
What I Like:Intuitive layout. Good idea.
What I Don't Like:The app strikes me a bit too much as a promotion for LexTech.
Final Statement:If you have your own app idea, this could help see it through.
