Ever wanted to create your own step by step guide but was turned off by the hassle of compiling all the information? With Snapguide, creating your own guide is suddenly not such a herculean task after all. Simply sign up for an account and you’re ready to go. Just follow the instructions on the app to start making your own guides! Yes, a guide within a guide!

With Snapguide, simply make use of the template given by the app to begin. You are given complete control over the designing of each and every basic step of your guide, and the app allows you to further customize each individual step by embedding videos and photos. Each guide you create even comes, by default, with a ‘supplies’ list. Or rather, a checklist of ingredients or materials your readers need to prepare before proceeding with whatever you are teaching them to do.

A downside to Snapguide would be that guides are only published to the app’s servers. While you can share the guides on your social networks, you are still confined to the restraints of Snapguide’s templates, and despite all the customization options given, there is hardly much freedom for creativity.

However, much like eHow and other guide sites, you can browse through a huge variety of guides by other users at random, ranging from food recipes to the different ways of wearing a scarf.

For a free app, Snapguide is something I would recommend you download. It does not take up much space on your device, and even if you do not intend to make guides, you are still granted access to a wide array of tutorials that may come in handy one day.

Quick Take

Value:High.

Would I Buy Again:Yes.

Learning Curve:Simple. The app provides a guide on how to make a guide.

Who Is It For:Not just for people who love to help others, but for people who need some help too.

What I Like:The simplistic design makes it user friendly.

What I Don't Like:Default templates get quite boring after a while.

Final Statement:Guideception.
