Jailbreaking has opened the window to so many new possibilities with the iPhone. For example, previously, iPhones were not able to use tether their network with other devices but through jailbreaking, it was made possible through third party applications.

Now, an application called Dreamboard has taken up the iOS world by storm as they allow for complete customization of the iPhone.

The concept of skinning is common and the trend has been going on even from the Symbian days (remember themes for Nokia phones?).  Android has allowed its users to modify the look of their device through the use of launchers. However, in the case of iPhone, Apple did not allow such customization to be done on their device. That is, until Dreamboard comes into the picture.

Dreamboard allows the users to change their themes to any of those made available by members of Dreamboard community. As of date, there are a lot of themes to choose from. Some examples of the concept on which some themes were taken from includes the interface of competing mobile operating system such as Windows Phone 7 interface as well as Android.

For those not wanting these kinds of themes, there is no need to worry. There are a lot more attractive themes to choose from and in fact, some actually looks a lot better than the iOS interface.

All in all, users of iPhones that have been jailbreaked should definitely check out Dreamboard. Those with good technical knowledge can even draw up a new theme that fits their need.
