Like what our friends in Engadget has to say, the Meizu MX will have some “Siri-ous” competition as the iPhone 4S will soon be available in the world’s most populated country. This is after the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has given the green light for Chinese Unicom to start selling the device soon.

The Meizu MX definitely has some serious specifications inside it as it is powered with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor and has a solid build as well. The Meizu MX is an upgrade to its famous successor, the Meizu M9 which was also a much loved phone in the country thanks to its excellent specifications which made it comparable to a lot of the mainstream phones in the market.

However, with the iPhone coming into the Chinese market, Meizu is bound to compete with the bestselling phone in the world with an estimation of 30 million units being sold at the 4th quarter. The iPhone 4S will be backed with hundreds of thousands of applications which would make it more appealing to the Chinese people. In addition to that, with the iPhone name itself being popular in the country, the iPhone 4S will soon change the Chinese smartphone market.
