App Update: Pandora

It has been almost two months since Pandora, our favorite music app, was updated from its initial release to Version 1.1.

The iPhone app worked well from the start but with each update it gets incrementally better.

I’m actually a bit surprised by how often I turn to Pandora when I want to listen to music these days. It works especially well in the car. I plug in the stereo’s aux in plug, fire up Pandora and I am good to go. 3G streaming of my both favorites and new discoveries fill the air.

Well, Pandora just got updated to Version 1.2 and this new version makes great even great.

The update includes…

–Improved streaming over weak cellular connections

–The option for high quality streaming over 3G

–Bookmark views so you can visit past bookmarks and create stations from them, but them in iTunes, share them with others or delete them

–Choose which stations to include in your QuickMix

–Better station editing

–Better options for sharing stations, songs and artists.

As we have seen with other app updates lately, this update to Pandora 1.2 brings the iPhone app much closer to the full web version with regard to functionality and options.

If you haven’t tried Pandora there has never been a better time. And if you haven’t voted in our current poll there isn’t a better time either!

Let’s hope Pandora is here long enough to see versions 1.3 and 1.4!
