Ok, I’m a geek. I know I’m a geek. And guess what? If you are reading this review, you’re a geek too!
This is a very cool Star Trek iLCARS app. It has a sub scanner for life forms in the area. It has an adjustable range so you can increase and decrease the scan area. It has a bio scanner, which will give you a close up reading of any life form, including IQ, Age, DNA, and a few other goodies. And, my favorite, it has a geo scanner which is affected by the movement of your iPhone.
The sounds are well placed, and the voice is exactly what you would expect from this type of "device".
Interface? Looks like any Star Trek handheld. The only thing missing is the Star Trek logo (I’m guessing that Apple would have rejected this app if it had one),
If you are a Star Trek fan and ever dreamed about owning one of these devices, this is your chance.

What I like: It’s every Star Trek fans dream, and even though its just a make believe device, there is something cool about having a very realistic looking one on my iPhone. Maybe it’s the form factor, or maybe its the touch, but either way, its very cool.
What I Don’t: Not much, but looking forward to more of these types of Star Trek simulators.
Final Statement: If you are a big Star Trek fan this app will definitely give you a few good laughs. The developer did a great job with this and it is absolutely worth my .99. I’m looking forward to more of these.

New geological place? Be sure to check for seismic activity with Geo-scan before entering. It’s never a bad thing to be extra cautious.
