Our review of the week is Fine Scanner from ABBYY.

We all have those days where we just need to quickly scan something, however instead of pulling out the huge scanner that’s lost somewhere in the back of the closet just collecting dust, it is much easier to simply grab your iPhone and get the job done. Currently the App Store offers several different Scanner apps, such as two popular choices, TurboScan and CamScanner, however Fine Scanner is really a worthy contestant for the throne.

What makes Fine Scanner good compared to many other apps is the fact that you can take several pictures in a row if you want your document to contain many pages, and then when exporting you can decide whether or not you want to send it as a whole document or in single pages. Another great feature is the file management itself, with its intuitive UI it really makes the app much easier to use.

Key features and benefits:

? Scan any printed or hand-written texts anywhere and anytime. With your iPhone in your pocket, you no longer need an unwieldy scanner!
? Easily create documents of any size using your iPhone camera: with FineScanner, you can create, handle, and enhance separate images or large multi-page documents.
? Create electronic copies of any type of printed content: copy paper documents, contracts, articles, instructions, brochures or any other materials in any language!
? Excellent visual quality guaranteed with automatic detection of page boundaries, easy brightness and contrast settings, and ability to save results in black-and-white or grayscale.
? PDF and JPEG support: save and export very good scanner-quality images to JPEG and documents in cross-platform PDF.
? Built-in file archiving feature: save results in a file archive with a handy search facility right within the app
? Multiple export destinations: send results by e-mail, to online services Box, Yandex.Disk, Evernote or Facebook
? Data privacy: transfer documents directly to your Mac or PC using iTunes sharing
? AirPrint support: print out your documents directly from your mobile device!
? “Email to myself” button which sends the document to the favorite e-mail address

The ABBYY Fine Scanner is available on App Store for $2.99
