Absinthe releases jailbreak support for Windows, Linux

Earlier on, Absinthe went on releasing an untethered jailbreak support application for two iOS devices which are the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S for Mac OS X systems. However, support for both Windows and Linux was nonexistence for a while as the developers were still working on some kinks. That soon changed as the group had released Absinthe A5 for both Windows and Linux users two consecutive days after the Mac OS X application release.

In addition to that, shortly after the release, a new update was released and it featured a few cosmetic updates, a few bug fixes as well as the support for Linux machines. The version of Absinthe that received the cosmetic update and the bugfix was Absinthe 0.3 although not many people are affected prior to the update.

The release of Absinthe A5 for both iPad 2 and iPhone 4S users is good news for all of the users of these devices. This is because prior to this, there are no applications capable of doing untethered jailbreak for these particular devices and those that had update their iPad 2 or iPhone 4S to version 5.0.1 were left with no choice but to leave it as it is. Users of earlier devices on the other hand, managed to get an untethered jailbreak application for quite some time already.
