Although Apple has implemented a lot of security systems to protect its iPhone and help us find them in case of theft or delete them quickly, in the video above we can see a method by which these security measures can be overcome.

Find-my-iPhone

Basically a thief who would steal an iPhone 5S device, enables Airplane Mode by LockScreen and takes your thumbprint, it can stop you to lock, locate or wipe your device. Using a fingerprint taken from the device, it can unlock and change the password asking your Apple ID directly from Apple and connecting your device to the internet for two seconds to receive emails, a thief can steal Apple ID without you to delete or locate it.

Although the Control Center can be disabled in LockScreen and the Airplane Mode could not be activated, the problem is that Apple services connects quite hard at the device to remove or locate them, so a smart thief could apply the method above on a stolen device, even if it is extremely complicated. Disabling Control Center from LockScreen by Settings>Control Center, you manage to prevent thieves from enabling the Airplane Mode from LockScreen, avoiding to login with secondary email your Apple ID in Mail application, you will make sure that the thief has the opportunity to steal Apple ID.

To be honest, the method presented in the clip is so complex that few burglars will think to apply it, others are too lazy to use it, so you should not worry too much, at least theoretically.
