The new iPad is more of a miss for a lot of people especially to those that are living in other countries besides the United States and Canada. This is because the 4G network on which is working in these two countries is different than the ones that are available in other countries. In fact, it is so different that almost no country can utilize the 4G network available in the new iPad.

As a result, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission are planning to take actions against Apple due to false advertising. Although Apple promotes 4G connection in its Australian website, the 4G capability in the iPad isn’t compatible with neither 4G or WiMAX connection in the country. As a result, Apple is offering refund to customers that felt that they were being wronged by Apple due to false advertising.

This problem isn’t available in Australia only but also in many other countries including the United Kingdom, Norway and a few others. The regulators in these countries will definitely have a field day should Apple not correct its wrongdoing as soon as possible. As for us, we just cannot fathom on why Apple did not come up with two different sets of iPad with one for the United States and the other for the International markets.
