iPhone 4S: Is it a disappointment or is it a great new device?

A lot of people were pretty disappointed when instead of a new iPhone 5, they were welcomed by the iPhone 4S, an improvement to the previous version of the iPhone 4. The two devices are indistinguishable if it weren’t for the extra S at the back of the phone.

A lot of new features that we had hoped would be incorporated in the new iPhone did not even make it to the board. No 4G, no new designs and a few other things. The lack of 4G would definitely set it back as there are a lot of phones in the market that are 4G compatible. This lack of aesthetic and technological update would also pave way to a potential competitor, the Samsung Galaxy S II. To some, it may not be so much of a disappointment but rather a something to be expected. After all, Apple did come out with a 3GS before the iPhone 4.

Nonetheless, the technological upgrade such as the dual-core processor, the highly improved camera and Siri would make people go for the new device. We doubt that many iPhone 4 users would consider selling their phones though. The main target audience would rather be the iPhone 3G or the 3GS users.
