It has been more than a month since the iPhone 4S was released in the United States and a few other selected countries. However, there are a lot more places on which the phone is made unavailable but one lucky country, India to be precise, got theirs on November 25.

The iPhone 4S was released at a price of 45,500 Indian Rupees or $870 for the 16GB version or 50,900 Rupees ($975) for the 32GB version. The 64GB version of the iPhone 4S was sold out on Aircel therefore it cannot be said about the price of that particular version of the iPhone 4S. These prices are for iPhone which has a two-year contract with the telecommunication companies.

To some, the cost of the iPhone 4S may be a lot as compared with the United States but there are rebates given out throughout the contract. In long periods, the price may be quite the same as compared with those in the United States or in any other countries.

The iPhone 4S is an upgrade to the iPhone 4. Noticeable update includes Siri, a highly successful virtual assistant, a dual-core processor, improved camera and a few others. The design closely resembles those of the iPhone 4.
