Rumors: iPhone release in October, A5X on next iPhone

Once again, the rumor mill starts spinning on the iPhone topic. The first part of it involves a very controversial topic which is the release date. Previously, a Foxconn recruiter stated that the new device will be launched in June but now, the company’s HR head stated in the South Korea’s Maeli Business Newspaper that the new version of the device is slated to be available in October instead. Nonetheless, this should not be taken very seriously because Apple is known to never let even its big customers to know about the future release, let alone a HR employee in its manufacturing factory.

In other news, it seems that Apple is taking a lot of interest in the A5X chip which sports a dual-core processor with a quad-core graphics processing unit. That particular variant released in the iPad was said to be nonsensical for the iPhone. Due to this, they are said to have been testing another variant of the A5X chip instead. One that could be powerful but less power hungry as compared with the one present in the iPad.

In addition to that, there might also be an upgrade to the iPod Touch in the future as well. This makes much sense considering that the device has stayed that way since it was last updated in September 2010.
