Scanbox turns iPhone into scanner

There are a lot of uses for the iPhone and this is simply because it is one of the best smartphones in the market today. While some people made cases that have switchable lenses, a project by Phil Bosua from Melbourne, Australia made something differently for iPhone users. The project that we are talking about is Scanboxand it is a device that would turn your iPhone to a portable scanner.

It’s actually a scanning box which utilizes the iPhone’s camera to take scans. Suffice to say that you take the Scanbox, fit in your iPhone to the position that they have drawn at the box and then power up your Camera app to start scanning your photos. The good thing about it is that everything is drawn up for you to ensure that you can get results that are pretty much the same as you would through a normal scanner.

Right now, it’s on Kickstarter but as it had already received its $12,500 goal by more than ten-folds, you can be sure that the product will be made into production. If you want to go into retailing, there are also multiple sets of the product that you can buy as well.
