WOiP Tip- Send A Private Tweet With Twittelator Pro

Don’t let this happen to you…

I went to send a private tweet to a friend of mine but mishandled the “private tweet“ setting.  A private tweet went out to… EVERYONE.

I know, I know, it isn’t brain surgery to send a private tweet but with each Twitter app having its own way of handling private tweets, it gets a bit confusing at times.

Fortunately for me, the tweet didn’t include the nuclear launch codes, any bad language, or gossip.  Still, it was a bit disconcerting to realize how easy it can be to get yourself into a lot of trouble with the tap of a button.

It is for this reason I’m pleased that an update to our favorite iPhone/iPod Touch Twitter client makes private tweeting super easy and downright foolproof.

To send a private Tweet in Twittelator Pro, you just type a “d” prior to the name of the person you are tweeting.

Thats it, simple, easy, and no chance of mishandling the private setting.

Since the latest version of Twittelator has also been updated, this would be a good place to mention that It also includes some welcome bug fixes such as-

–The spinning progress indicator no longer stays stuck at launch
–If a photo Tweet fails the text and image are remembered the next time you “Tweet”.
–Threaded replies and directs in “Friends’ Tweets” are no longer duplicated
–Page down control no longer skips over half-visible tweets.

You can get Twittelator Pro HERE in the App Store
