Carpet is a game that follows along the same lines of Solitaire. Differences being that the board is 4×5 filled with ranging from all four suits and all numbers and face cards. On the left side of the screen are four separate piles for you to places cards on. The entire objective is to build from Ace all the way to King the same way you do in normal Solitaire. In Carpet however, you don’t stack cards, you can only stack them on the piles marked with the according suit. Placing cards on their suit stacks will free up a space on the board where you can place a card from the deck. The deck is full of cards same way it would be in a game of solitaire. You draw them one at a time, but once you have drawn them all that is it. You don’t have an option to re stack the deck and start over again.

Carpet isn’t a bad game. It’s fun for a short period of time, but I feel like it could be a little easier to play. Also, I don’t like the fact that you can’t stack cards on top of each other, even cards of the same suit. It’s frustrating to play a game that is so much like solitaire but doesn’t allow for the simplest things. But there is plenty to be said about games that are unique to some degree as well. I wish there was more to say about this game, but it is pretty straightforward and simple. Stack same suit cards all the way from ace to king and you win. Move onto another round and continue to rack up points and such to win the trophies involved.

QUICK TAKE

Value: Low-Medium

Would I Buy Again: No

Learning Curve: Low-Medium

Who is it For: Anyone a fan of card games

My Likes: Entertaining game for a short period of time.

My Dislikes: Could be simpler

Final Statement: Carpet is a fun game, for a few minutes. It tends to get old quick, at least for me. I am usually a fan of card games, but Carpet just didn’t overly excite me. I am sure there are plenty of people who would love Carpet. It wasn’t a game for me, and that’s fine, but I know it could be fun for others. It is well done and a good idea.

Rating: 2 ½ stars

Read the Developer's Notes:
A new take on the card game you know and love… Solitaire. The object of the game is to discard all cards to the foundations where the aces have already been dealt. All cards from “the Carpet” must be moved to the foundations upwards by suit (i.e. 2 over A). Any “holes on the carpet,” or gaps left behind by the cards that have been moved to the foundations, are filled by cards from the waste pile.Features:;Addictive&Exciting Gameplay•Easy Touchscreen controls•Complete Challenges and Earn Trophies
