User Rating:On his mission to bring me into the 21st century, my husband thought I should put my grocery list on my Touch and thoroughly checked out ever grocery app.
Well, I have to admit that he chose the perfect one – Groceries Grocery List by Ontomni.
I love that you can enter many different stores (not only grocery ones so if you need to buy something at Home Depot, you can add that too). I always go to at least 3 markets.
I used to carry a piece of paper around and usually there would be an item or two that was unavailable and then the paper would get lost; you’d have to start a new list, etc. Also getting my family to add items for the list was a constant battle. Now, everyone knows the Touch is on the counter and they add items as they find we need them. It’s amazing.
I always have my list with me. I’m surprised at times that things were added and grateful that I didn’t have to nag anyone! There are different views; by section, by store then section and alphabetic and you can easily switch from one to another. It also has an email feature which can come in handy.
Quick Take
Value: high, especially since it’s now on sale for $.99
Would I Buy Again: absolutely.
Learning Curve: exceptionally low, I’m not especially techno and the tutorial in the help section easily answers any questions
Who Is It For: anyone who grocery shops
What I Like: works well, easy to use and is priced right; it can be used basic or intricate- you decide what you need
What I Don’t: can’t think of a thing
Final Statement: this app does what it says, is easy to use, well priced and generally makes life easier
