The Roadside America app is going to tempt you into dozens of journeys that are filled with wacky sights, local oddities, and some of the most unique museums, collections and attractions you’ll ever find. Those using the Roadside America app will be able to seek out the most interesting things to do in any area of the country.

The app divides the attractions and oddities into more than seventy categories that include celebrities, music, atomic and more. The user of the app can also just seek out the sights by name or by locale. The listings will include photo galleries, directions, and contact information, and many reviews by special travel experts are included as well.

The app is geared at one select region, but an in-app purchase unlocks the entire country and includes all six areas. In addition to the listings, the app also provides three unique road trip tools as well – a sunset alert that indicates the latest times for outdoor photography, a special tourist alarm that prevents the traveler from spending too much time in a single locale, and the markup tool that indicates sights already seen.

There are all kinds of tourism apps, but the Roadside America app is geared specifically at the odd-ball and not-to-be-missed locations that can make a boring road trip a remarkably memorable one.
